Here at Greetwell Purchasing Solutions, we believe in giving something back to our local community, and our planet. Sustainability is at the heart of what we do, using the 17 Sustainable Development Goals as a framework and and always striving to be the best we can.
It’s important to us to ensure we’re supporting the community in which we work, donating to charities: St Barnabas and Umbrellas. On a global level, we are proud members of 1% for the Planet, committing 1% of our turnover to environmental causes. In addition, we are dedicated to reducing our carbon footprint and overall environmental impact.
At Greetwell, we are committed to making responsible choices that support both people and the planet for a better future.
Proud members of 1% For The Planet
1% For The Planet is a global organisation that helps bring together businesses and environmental not-for-profit groups whose focus is the protection, preservation, and restoration of our planet.
We are proud to commit 1% of our turnover to carefully selected non-profit partners each year, it’s a transparent commitment to drive positive change every year.
In 2002, Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia, and Craig Mathews, founder of Blue Ribbon Flies, created 1% for the Planet and started a global movement. To date over $250 million has been donated to environmental non-profits around the world from a global network of 3000 members. We are delighted to be contributing towards these efforts.
“The intent of 1% for the Planet is to help fund these diverse environmental organizations so that collectively they can be a more powerful source in solving the world’s problems.”
— YVON CHOUINARD

We support St Barnabas Charity
Established over 30 years ago, St Barnabas Hospice in Lincoln was set up to provide specialist palliative and end-of-life care so that everyone can access and receive the support they need to live well and ease the process of dying.
We recognise the power of community; building connections and relationships which help us make a positive contribution. Respecting and valuing all contributions – we are ONE team, united and inspired by our common purpose.

We support Umbrellas Charity
Umbrellas was established in June 2014 with the aim of providing a leisure and recreational facility for children, young people and adults with additional needs.
Children, young people and adults with additional needs all deserve somewhere safe and secure to enjoy their leisure time; many will require specialist facilities or equipment and people who understand their needs. Their families can also feel isolated as a result of the disability so we aim to provide a supportive, non-judgemental environment where siblings, parents and carers can also participate.
